The Day has arrived…
Today I must share a very difficult decision and that is to take @wetbeautylounge and to move out of the state of NY.
As I wrote this business plan almost 11 years ago on the water in Maine, I never intended on opening the business in NY at the time. However not too long after that I decided to move back to NY temporarily. During this time on vacation, I made a promise to someone very special to me-my niece. I promised her not to leave the state of NY until she was settled and in college!
So here we are…
9 years ago I opened the doors on Jay Street and implemented the business not knowing what was about to unfold and as my commitments both professionally and then personally were to reside in NY.
Working endlessly hours and then growing so quickly brought the next step to invest more into the business and the community and purchase Barrett Street until this day would arrive.
Those of you who know me well know when you make a promise and give your word, you follow through. Your word is your bond! It’s important that your actions match your words. Authenticity of being the best version of yourself, be passionate when you make decisions both professionally and personally and do whatever makes your soul sing and makes you smile often! And boy has this been quite the journey…
And so when I approached my niece 2 years ago as I was ready then, she reminded me of my promise and so back to work I went and now here we are today…
The most difficult piece of this decision is that business has grown every year since the doors originally opened and I have met some really amazing people along the way. The outpouring of love, loyalty and commitment, I will forever cherish and am beyond grateful for.
And although this is almost one of the hardest decisions Ive had to make in my life, I know it’s the right one and look forward to see what the next chapter and journey lies ahead. The hardest part about a chapter ending is that you have to say goodbye to some of your favorite people. But a good ending can feel like the end of one thing and the beginning of another!
Please note- All clients that currently have scheduled appointments will remain the same and effective unless further notified.

Your appointments and well-being are very important to us. We understand that sometimes, unexpected delays can occur, making schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least a 2 day notice.
Our Policy:
Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 2 days will result in a cancellation fee. The amount of the fee will be equal to 40% of the reserved services, or $20, whichever is more. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your service, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the same cancellation fee will apply. We will do our very best to reschedule your service for another time that is convenient to you. We require a credit card to hold your appointment. Cancellation fees will be charged to your card on file. In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future services.
